The First Two Weeks--What We've Done So Far!

Hello there, and welcome to the first couple weeks of Spanish at Sundance High School. We've gotten a lot accomplished, despite Señora Soriano coming down with a rather nasty stomach flu twice in as many weeks! Yikes!

Ms. Soriano introduced herself to new students and reconnected with returning students, handing out the yearly syllabus and letting them know what to expect in their class. Then, she showed everyone the PowerPoint about her life and we had our first quiz of the week!

Spanish 1 has started their introduction to Language and Culture, which will mainly take place in Week 3. Spanish 2 has been working hard on reviewing the things they learned last year and beginning a new country study, this time over Peru!

Spanish 3 has only two students this year, but they are working just as hard on their reviews of Spanish 2, as well as learning about new cultures! Spanish 4 has only one student, but she excited for her third and final year with Ms. Soriano!

Overall, we've had a great first couple of weeks of Spanish classes! We're all excited to learn more about other cultures (especially when it comes to food!) and will continue to work hard throughout the year. Keep coming back for more updates on what we're doing in class! The next post will be during our first fiesta, unless something very interesting happens first!
